About the Wine: The small and mountainous region of Ribeiro in Galicia is still a bit of a wild west, hanging on to tradition in all of the best ways possible. This is a blend of native grapes 50% Treixadura, 15% Albariño, 15% Godello, 10% Lado, and 10% Loureiro. As for the winemaking process, cold maceration takes place and the wine remains on it´s lees. Following this, fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 25ºC. 4 months in French oak barrels. Most of these grapes are suited for the wet environment, and therefore have thick skins. The texture is a little viscous with a waxy texture, yellow flower, baked yellow apple and fresh plantain. Uncut pineapple, Meyer lemon, white peaches and grapefruit.

About the Producer: Adega Antonio Cajide, a winery situated in Ribadavia founded by Antonio Cajide, the son of winemakers. The principal aim of the winery was to recover their ancestors way of working, age old vineyards and native grape varities.

The area is home to an oceanic-Mediterranean climate, characterized by wet conditions and warm temperatures. The mountains act as a natural barrier and protect the territory from storms. The average for anual rainfall is around 950 mm, however during the months when the grapes are ripening, rainfall is scarce.
