Facenda Agrícola Mercenario Blanco 2019 is a blend of several native grape varieties (Treixadura, Torrontés, Albariño, Lado, and Palomino) sourced from historic vineyards along the banks of the Avia, Miño, and Arnoia rivers. It belongs to the D.O. Ribeiro. The vines grow in a parcel with soils composed of xabre (decomposed granite), red slate.

The winemaking is natural, and the vineyards are farmed according to biodynamic principles. The wine undergoes a mixed aging process in 300L and 600L barrels, 500L casks, and 400L clay amphorae. This aging takes place from fermentation through to bottling in these same vessels. Total production is limited to 2,400 bottles

The wine is neither clarified nor filtered, and only minimal sulfur is used across all wines from Bodega Augalevada. Once he realized that flor was growing on his white wines that were aging in buried amphora he never looked back.
