Critic tasting note: "The nice thing about Islay whiskies is that they often show their true nature better at a younger age. Malty sweet and incredibly herbal with emerging tar, smoked seaweed, and olive. Medicinal in nature, with lingering tar and brine on the finish. Fairly straight-forward (what do you expect for 8 years old?) but a pretty decent showing for a whisky this young." - Whisky Advocate
