Producer: Bloodroot
Grape: Pinot Noir
Where: North Coast, California

Critic tasting note: "This wine is a secret collaboration between several winemakers with great vineyard sourcing who have come together here to make a masterful, value-minded blend. The majority of the grapes come from Russian River Valley, with others from Sonoma Coast, Marin, Anderson Valley and Bennett Valley. Tea, earth, stone and herb tones enliven a core of cranberry and rhubarb, offering length and depth. The tannins are velvety smooth and seductive. Virginie Boone" - Wine Enthusiast

About the Producer:
BloodRoot is a secret collaboration between acclaimed winemakers. This group has deep contacts and vineyard sourcing which they knew they would create great wines for relatively modest prices. This group is also masterful at creating blends. They're the chefs that could walk into your house tonight and make a Michelin-starred meal out of anything you have in your fridge and pantry. They want to be anonymous because they have other projects where their wines sell for 4-5x as much money with scores from critics in the 95-100 point range.
.
Spearheaded by Noah and Kelly Dorrance of Reeve Wines, BloodRoot is a collaboration between venerated winemakers with great vineyard sourcing who have come together to make value-minded wines that overdeliver with their quality. The wines are sourced from multiple benchmark vineyards throughout Napa/Sonoma and reflect the soul of each place, made at a quality and price level that make them absolute no-brainers to drink.
BloodRoot is complimentary to Noah and Kelly’s winery called Reeve Wines, which started in 2015 as a side project from Banshee Wines which Noah was a founder of in 2009. When Reeve Wines began to flourish, Noah decided to turn his full attention to Reeve wines and eventually created BloodRoot as a complementary brand to Reeve.
