About the Producer:
The history of Alibrianza srl, today Cantine Andreas Mazzei, began in 1981, when Roberto Mazzei founded the company Alibrianza srl as a wholesaler for Italian food and wine. In the 90’s, when son Andreas joined the company, wine already represented the main pillar of the business, the aim was now to become a producer.
This dream came true in 1997, when Alibrianza purchased the winery Cascina Radice in Piedmont, whose origin dates back to 1890. Afterwards, thanks to Roberto’s roots, also wines from Southern Italy became more and more important, particularly Sicilian ones. When the Sicilian enologists Dino Croce and Giuseppe Bennardo joined the team, everything was set to create outstanding wines, organic and not, from this island, now available under Andrero and Andreas Mazzei.
Due to the extraordinary winemaking potential, also wines from Apulia became a precious part of the assortment. As a matter of fact, long before this region gained its current fame, the Mazzei family was already producing several indigenous varieties such as Primitivo and Negroamaro under Colle al Vento.
Today, the assortment contains not only wines from Piedmont and from Southern Italy, but also an interesting selection from Northern and Central Italy. Like in the past also in the future the main focus will always be to follow the three fundamental characteristics of the company: quality, continuity and reliability.
