Condidered the oldest amaro in the world and is produced by Polini Distillates. Domenico Vittone is widely credited for having created the original Fernet in 1842 in Milan, Italy. His propietary recipe includes an infusion of over 40 herbs, spices and botanicals and the elixir was served in the traditional manner as a medicinal digestif. The current bottling stays true to the original offering and remains one of the highest quality Italian spirits available.
