Here is a rare find indeed! A lovely white from the northerly land of Luxembourg! While the Auxerrois grape has historically been grown in all Teutonic regions including Alsace in northern France, it has made its true home here in southern Luxembourg. After the high-yielding Muller-Thurgau grape (a variety grown in huge quantities across northern Europe for bulk wine purposes), Auxerrois is the second-most planted grape of this tiny country, and it makes up the majority of the country’s more revered labels. 

Eager to preserve the unique character of Mosellan wines, the Domaine “Clos des Rochers” displays the human and technical means to meet its high standards. A quality vineyard, entirely replanted over the past 30 years, a winery endowed with the best technical equipment, and obviously, highly qualified people, are all essential elements which contribute to this aim. One of the first growers to favour low yields, selective harvesting and integrated farming (sustainable cultivation), the Domaine “Clos des Rochers” cultivates more than 35 different plots of vineyards over a large range of terroirs between Grevenmacher and Wormeldange.
