Broadbent's Vinho Verde Rosé is made exclusively from red grape varieties — Borraçal, Espadeiro, Amaral, and Vinhão — using a soft crushing and pressing process that gently extracts the juice, then clarifies it into a bright, clear pink wine. It's produced in the Barcelos commune, considered the top-quality area for Vinho Verde, in Portugal's cool, rainy Minho region near the Spanish border — a region where red grapes are notoriously hard to ripen, which is exactly why rosé and red Vinho Verdes are harder to find than the classic whites.
