Celler Sanroma is located in the ancient village of Vila-Rodona in the Alt Camp region of Tarragona, Spain. At the tender age of 28 Eduard Sanroma Calaf is the youngest winemaker in the zone, and he posseses a drive and conviction that is refreshing. In Eduard’s own words, he is making wine in the old way. He works with traditional varieties of Macabeo and Parellada to create amber skin contact wines. Trepat and Ull de Llebre (Tempranillo), respectively, create monovarietal rose and red. The land is high, dry and rocky. The summers are hot and the terroir is decidedly mediterranean. The wines of Celler Sanroma possess a freshness and forward thinking attitude while retaining tradition and respect to the land.
