It is a "Supertuscan," a category of wine that blends traditional Italian grapes with international varieties to create innovative and prestigious wines, often under the IGT (Indicazione Geografica Tipica) classification. 

Process: Hand-picked grapes are fermented for a long period with extended skin contact.

Aging: Aged for 6 months in French oak barrels and a further 4 months in bottles
