Giffard, Cassis Noir de Bourgogne
Giffard only uses the highly prized Noir de Bourgogne variety of Cassis (black currant) which they pick at peak ripeness every July in the Loire Valley. The berries are then slowly macerated ensuring they capture the depths of richness in flavor and color. Cassis Noir de Bourgogne smelles of ripe berries and a touch of back pepper. The palate is tart, tannic and sweet and makes and excellent Kir Royales !
