Tequila Tapatío is for those seeking the highest quality; our commitment is to the keep the attributes that distinguish our company from over 80 years, with the touch that only the artisanal, handmade process, can give to the authentic 100% Agave tequila. "La Alteña" distillery is founded by Don Felipe Camarena Hernández in July 7, 1937, and in 1940 began selling tequila 100% Blue agave with the brand name "Tapatío". In 1990 is launched the brand "El Tesoro de Don Felipe" with tequilas especially designed for international markets. In July 7, 2007 (07-07-07), the company reached 70 years of its foundation and a tribute was paid to the three generations that, during this period, have shaped and strengthened not only a distillery, but a family that currently remains an icon of artisanal quality. In July 2012 we proudly celebrated 75 years of growth in which we thanked friends, employees, collaborators, suppliers and consumers for their support and loyalty. To maintain the high quality with which the consumers identify our craftsmanship and the tradition of manufacturing only 100% agave tequila with an artisanal process, for those consumers who believe it is more important quality than quantity.
