This is Van Brunt Stillhouse's contribution to the Empire Rye project. A Project in collaboration with many other New York Distilleries that highlighting rye whiskey made from New York grown grain. Van Brunt's Empire Rye mash bill consists of 75% Finger Lakes grown Danko Rye and 25% Malted Barley and is barrel aged for two years after distillation. Bold and spicey this rye has notes of chocolate, cherry and black pepper with a sweet toasted almond finish.
