Taste: This clear mezcal has notes of tropical fruit, tamarind, nutmeg, and minerality. On the palate has hazelnut, almonds, coffee beans, and toasted coconut.

Cruz De Fuego is produced by the mother and son team of Margarita Blas and Carlos Mendez Blas in Santiago Matatlan, Oaxaca. They use Espadin that's been matured 7-10 years before harvested and cooked for 3 to 4 days and fermented in open air wooden tanks before distillation . The mezcal has tropical and earthy nose with a notes of  crushed almonds, vanilla and a hint roasted coconut on the palate.
