Style: White Wine
Producer: Chateau Bouchereau
Grapes: 53% Sauvignon Blanc, 26% Muscadelle, 21% Semillon
Where: Entre-Deux-Mers, Bordeaux
Country: France
Taste: A blend of Semillion, Sauvignon and Muscadelle. The wine has a yellow colour with lemony reflections. On the nose it is fresh, with hints of peach, lemon, and grapefruit. The flavors mirror the nose with peach and apricot, a full and delicate mid-palate, with a finish that combines sweetness and acidity.
.
About the Wine: Direct press and six months of aging in a steel tank on fine lees. Taut-style Bordeaux Blanc with high acidity, salinity, and notes of citrus, peach, and exotic fruit.
.
About the Producer: Situated between two rivers—the Dordogne to the north and the Garonne to the south—the estate benefits from soils composed of grey clay, marl, and limestone. The oceanic climate brings significant nighttime temperature drops, which help preserve the grapes' acidity and promote balance, even in particularly hot vintages. Château Bouchereau is located in the village of Massugas, at the eastern edge of the Entre-Deux-Mers region, within the AOP Bordeaux appellation. The estate sustainably farms 40 hectares of vineyards and holds the HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale) certification. Founded in 1949 by the Cardarelli family, Château Bouchereau is now led by the fourth generation.
