Expert tasting note: "The wine is a deep, dark, but not opaque purple ruby color. Very vivid cassis aromas have a hint of leafiness & earthy notes. On the palate a leafy hint overlays concentrated cassis & elderberry fruit.
Taste: 2010 Smith Haut Lafitte rouge is a deep, concentrated, nearly black colour. The bouquet displays a range of red and black fruit aromas, as well as ones reminiscent of spice and warm herbs. With aeration, the wine reveals magnificent black fruit.
Taste: Ripe redcurrant, black cherry, dried herb, cedar wood and leafy nuances introduce the 2022 Rouge. Freshly cut violets add a floral layer. Refined and savory, the 2022 hits the palate with good concentration and vivid inner energy.
