Taste: Elderberry and blackberry, black pepper and tar, herbal tea, dried meat. The palate initially reveals an oily base, then a grainy tannin in a strong dose, the acidity appears ripe and seamlessly integrated.
Taste: 100% Syrah has all the markers of Crozes-Hermitage: Herbs, earth and cherries show the riper side of the vintage, while the region’s typical black olives, white pepper and spices play a secondary role. Lively purple raspberry fruit.
Critic tasting note: (2018 vintage) "This wine offers layers of appealing aromas straight off the bat, from black cherry and currant to cedar, mocha, graphite, herbs and black olive. Concentrated yet impeccably balanced, the palate is smudged by savory.
